Sharon grew up in Ludlow, Massachusetts. Even though she talked about being a nurse from a very early age, it was volunteering at Holyoke Hospital that convinced her. After graduating from Ludlow High School, she attended Fitchburg State College in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. She had enjoyed her pediatric and maternal child rotations and found a position at Providence Hospital in Holyoke where she was able to eventually work in that department. It was during this time she decided she would return to school to become a nurse practitioner to expand her nursing role. While attending UMASS Amherst, she had two clinical rotations at HPA. She enjoyed working with the providers, staff, and families. She started her NP career with Johnson Professional Associates-Pediatric in Enfield and then moved on to Stafford Pediatric Associates in Springfield where she practiced for 26 years. In what she describes as a full circle move, she is excited to join HPA and the Holyoke community.

Sharon enjoys working with all age groups as she can find something interesting about each stage of development. She loves to make children smile and loves it even more if they make her smile. She firmly believes in connecting with her patients and families and forging a relationship which spans from newborn to young adult. It is not lost on her the importance of helping her patients advocate for themselves in health care as this is a learned skill they will use for their entire life. Like the providers at HPA she believes in the importance of vaccines in preventing childhood illness.

Sharon is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is on staff at Baystate Medical Center.

When not working she likes spending time with her family, walking/hiking, reading and the beach.

Sharon sees patients 2 days a week in Holyoke and one day in our South Hadley office.
