Dr Adams was born just outside of New York City and grew up in Southern Connecticut.  She decided to become a doctor after watching the doctors treat her brother for malaria.  Following her family’s footsteps, she attended Williams College in the Berkshires.  After college, she attended medical school at Tufts in Boston where she had the opportunity to learn under Dr Rashba, a pediatrician in Reading, and fell in love with pediatrics.  Having enjoyed her time in Western Mass, she was pleased to be accepted in the Pediatric Residency at Baystate Medical Center in 2002.  After completing her training, Dr Adams spent 17 years as a practicing pediatrician at Pediatric Services of Springfield.  Dr Adams was very happy to join Holyoke Pediatric Associates in December 2022!

Dr Adams loves being a pediatrician. She feels that it is an honor and joy to take care of children from birth to when they graduate into adulthood.   Dr Adams believes that it is crucial that every child participates in their healthcare.  She feels that wellness starts with healthy habits, respect, and strong self-esteem.  She is a firm believer in the power of vaccinations to prevent disease and save lives. 

Dr Adams is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics; She is credentialed at Baystate Children’s Hospital and is an adjunct staff member at Boston Children’s Hospital.

In her free time, Dr Adams enjoys hiking and skiing with her husband and two teenagers.  She likes to relax with a good book.  She is an avid knitter and always has project in the works. 

Dr. Adams sees patients 2 days a week in our South Hadley office and 2 days a week in our Holyoke office.
