Dr. Petrosky was born in Brooklyn, NY but moved to the Philippines at the age of four where she lived until she was nine years old. Her family returned to the United States when martial law was declared in the Philippines and her family settled in Massachusetts. She majored in Biology at Mount Holyoke College and graduated magna cum laude in 1985. After a year of research at Yale University, she entered the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1986, earning her medical degree in 1990.

Dr. Petrosky did her pediatric training at Baystate Medical Center from 1990 to 1993. After finishing her training, she worked per diem at Holyoke Pediatric Associates before she and her husband joined the Peace Corps for 1 and 1/2 years. They served as Peace Corps volunteers in the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific. She worked as a pediatrician at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva and taught the medical students at the Fiji School of Medicine. After her Peace Corps tour, she knew she wanted to return to Holyoke Pediatrics to begin her career. She continues to enjoy HPA and chose the field of pediatrics because it allows her to help prevent illness and injury and provide education for her patients and their parents. She feels fortunate to have the privilege of getting to know children and their families and following them over time, from birth into young adulthood. She is very interested in promoting healthy eating and sleeping habits and helping parents guide their children to behave well and stay safe.

Dr. Petrosky is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, credentialed at Baystate Children’s Hospital, is an adjunct staff member at Boston Children’s Hospital and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She and her husband have three sons. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, photography, painting and baking. She coaches soccer in the fall and spring.

Dr. Petrosky sees patients 4 days a week in our Holyoke office. She speaks Spanish but stops short of saying she is fluent.
