David N. Gottsegen, MD (primary location: South Hadley office)
Dr. Gottsegen received his undergraduate degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Brown University and his medical degree from the School of Medicine at SUNY Buffalo. He completed an Internship in Family Practice at the Duluth Family Practice Center, Duluth, Minnesota and Internship and Residency in Pediatrics from the University of Minnesota. Prior to coming to Holyoke Pediatric Associates, Dr. Gottsegen practiced for six years as a pediatrician at the Northeast Permanente Medical Group (Kaiser) in Amherst. Dr. Gottsegen is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Member and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Certified by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and a Member of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr. Gottsegen speaks some French and some Spanish, but does not consider himself fluent in either.
Dr. Gottsegen has a special interest in teaching children the skill of self-hypnosis which he uses to help children to help themselves in curing headaches, bedwetting, tics and other physical and behavioral problems.
Dr. Gottsegen is a father of two and in his spare time he enjoys ice hockey, hiking, dancing (Swing, Latin & Lindy Hop) and wind surfing. |
