Holyoke Pediatric Associates, LLP (HPA) is the largest pediatric practice in Western Massachusetts, serving patients from
Pioneer Valley communities at offices in Holyoke and South Hadley. HPA is a practice consisting of fourteen board-certified pediatricians,
five certified nurse practioners, and over 50 clinical, lab,
nutritional, and clerical support staff. The practice has been
continuously serving the health care needs of infants, children, and adolescents since 1971.
HPA is open every day of the year, including weekday
evenings, weekend days, and holidays, excepting only Thanksgiving
day and Christmas day. In addition to primary care services, HPA provides a fully licensed medical laboratory, nutritional counseling, lactation counseling, behavioral health services, and patient education. HPA also provides in-hospital support for new mothers
and in-hospital care for our patients at Baystate Medical Center. We also provide pediatric services for the Holyoke Health Center.

History of HPA
The practice was originally formed in 1970 when four solo pediatricians, Robert Abrams, Roland Stebbins, Ralph Levin-Epstein and Henry Burkhardt got together and shared space in Holyoke to provide day, night and weekend coverage. In the ensuing twenty years the practice has grown and
Holyoke Pediatric Associates (HPA) expanded its area of coverage by opening an office in South Hadley.
In 1997, the Holyoke office moved to its current larger facility at
150 Lower Westfield Road.
Today, HPA delivers services at over 60,000 children visits
per year while being open all weekdays and nights, weekend days, and most
holidays, closing only on Thanksgiving day and Christmas day. HPA's
physician services extend to Baystate Medical Center where all of
our pediatricians are on staff to provide continuity of care.
Additionally, when lab tests are needed we provide our patients
with convenient on-site lab testing services at our state-approved
laboratory located at the Holyoke office.
HPA's pediatricians are very involved in the communities they serve. In addition to the Reach Out and Read program, the founding physicians helped create the Holyoke Health Center twenty-five years ago, and
to this day continue to provide pediatric care there. Holyoke Pediatrics was also instrumental in starting a Teen Clinic in the Holyoke Public School System.
